I finally gave that new ceramic clear coat a shot on a 2018 F-150 hood
The owner brought it back a full year later and the water beading was still perfect, no haze at all. Anyone else seeing these new formulas hold up that well over time?

That's a solid result for a year out. The prep work before the ceramic coat is what really locks in that kind of longevity.
