inTalked to a friend who got scammed by a fake text
My cousin lost maybe fifty bucks to a phishing email once. Banks have real ways to contact you, they don't just send random links out of the blue. It seems like common sense to me. If you get a weird text, just call the bank directly using the number on your card. That solves it. Most people just need to slow down and not panic.

inMy uncle showed me a piece of obsidian he found near Mount St. Helens
Actually, that's a cool story but I have to disagree a bit. Obsidian isn't really "frozen lightning." That's fulgurite, which is glass made from lightning hitting sand. Obsidian is just volcanic glass that cooled super fast. Still a really neat find though.

inTrying to figure out the watch order for the Fate series almost broke me
Exactly, the whole point is to enjoy the ride, not map it out first.

inRant: I thought those new composite patch kits were just overpriced junk
Honestly, I was right there with you on them being junk. We had to patch a belly panel and I grumbled the whole time. That thing has taken way more abuse than I expected and hasn't budged. Makes you rethink some of the old playbooks.

inFinally got a clean signal trace on that stubborn comms box
You really think starting at the power source is the best move? I've wasted so much time doing that when the issue was a tiny, dumb connector like J4. My method is to check ALL the connections first, because it's fast and easy. If everything is plugged in tight, THEN I go deeper into the system. Skipping straight to the power supply feels like overcomplicating a simple fix most of the time.
