Choosing between a full engine rebuild or a used crate motor for a 2002 Civic

The customer's budget was tight, around $1500, so I suggested a low-mileage used JDM engine swap. It took a full weekend but fired right up first try. Anyone have a good source for those import motors besides the usual yards?

Yeah, a buddy of mine swears by this smaller importer in Florida, J-Spec Auto. He got a B-series from them last year that was super clean, no hidden issues. They do a good video check of compression before they ship, which is a nice touch. Prices were pretty fair from what he said.
