TIL a stuck caliper bolt can teach you more than a manual

I was in a shop in Phoenix last month, working on a 2015 F-150 with a seized rear caliper. The lower bolt snapped clean off, leaving the threaded part inside the bracket. In my experience, everyone says to drill it out and re-tap, but I tried something different. I used a left-hand drill bit and a lot of penetrating oil, and it backed out in about ten minutes without wrecking the threads. Has anyone else had luck with this method on newer trucks?

Left-hand bits work on a 2015? That's wild.

Left-hand bits actually work on a 2015?

They should, but check the part number first, @jordan_henderson13.
