The before and after on my workbench after one week with a new label maker

I finally got one of those Brother P-Touch labelers and spent a Sunday tagging all my test harnesses and connector boxes. Seven days later I actually found a specific harness in under 30 seconds instead of digging for 10 minutes. Has anyone else seen that kind of difference from just labeling everything?

Oh man, did you have that same messy tangle of cables I had before I got my label maker? I swear, labeling my bin of power adapters and random cords was a game changer, I actually know which charger goes to which old phone now instead of guessing. The best part was I used different colored labels for different types of stuff, like red for network cables and blue for audio gear. It took me maybe an hour to get it all tagged but now I don't dread looking for anything in my junk drawer.

Haha @theajohnson, I feel that so hard - my cable drawer currently looks like a spaghetti monster threw up in there, but maybe a label maker would save me from playing "guess the charger" every time my wife asks for one.

Maybe it's just me but I'd probably label myself as "dummy" after the first week still tripping over my own cords. At least the harnesses are safe now.
