A client in Phoenix said my proposals were 'too pretty' and honestly it fixed my close rate
I used to spend 4 hours building these fancy slide decks with stock photos for every B2B pitch, and this guy flat out said he couldn't find the price in 30 seconds so he trashed it. Now I send a plain doc with 3 numbers and a line about what it costs, and I've closed 5 of my last 7 deals. Anyone else get wrecked by feedback that turned out to be weirdly correct?
Learned the same thing from a print shop owner who told me my logo hats were costing me jobs because nobody trusts a company that spends money on swag instead of answers. Funny how the stuff that stings is usually the stuff that pays.
