Everyone pushes ongoing SEO retainers, but a 6-week rebuild in February cut our client's bounce rate from 71% to 38%
I keep hearing agency folks say SEO has to be a 12 month retainer or it does not work. We took on a mid-size parts supplier in Toledo back in February and did nothing but fix their site structure and page speed for 6 weeks, then walked away. Their organic traffic was up 44% by June and their sales team started getting quote requests straight from the contact page. Has anyone else seen a one-time technical fix beat a long retainer, or did we just get lucky with this one?
