Spent $600 on a CRM and it actually saved my sanity
I've been using spreadsheets for years to track client payments and follow-ups. Finally broke down and paid for a simple CRM tool last month. First week I felt sick about the cost, but after 30 days I realized I'd stopped missing deadlines entirely. The automated reminders alone are worth it. Has anyone else found a cheap tool that actually paid for itself quickly?

lol @morganmartinez you're spot on about spending to avoid bigger headaches. but I think people are missing the real value here - time tracking. I bet that CRM's got some kind of timer or log feature. when I switched to a paid tool I found out I was spending like 3 hours a week on admin stuff I thought took 30 minutes. that's the part that really pays for itself, not just the reminders. knowing where my time actually goes changed how I price my work.

wait hold on, $600 for a CRM? thats actually on the cheaper side for something decent. i gotta say though, spending that much on a tool that just sends automated reminders feels like a lot. you couldve set up something similar with google sheets and a free zapier account for way less money. but hey, if it works for you and stops you from missing deadlines, then i guess its worth it. just saying there are cheaper ways to skin that cat if anyone else is looking into this.

Reminds me of how people spend money on something small just to avoid a bigger headache later, @the_brian.
