I hiked the 'Cascade Falls Loop' and saw one tiny trickle.

I'm still confused how they name things!

They called a dry ditch "Rattlesnake Creek" on a map near me last year. The entire water feature was a single muddy puddle. Someone actually put that on PAPER for other people to find. It makes you wonder who approves these names, because that is just false advertising. My trust in trail guides is totally gone now.

Look at any old map. Names outlive their features all the time, that's just how it works.

Map names are often based on history, not current conditions lol. That creek probably had water and snakes way back when they named it. Getting this upset over a place name seems like a waste of energy, lmao.

Wow, that's rough. I've been fooled by overhyped trail names before too.
