Wasted $80 on a fancy ultralight camp stove that barely worked above 10,000 feet

I bought one of those super popular titanium stoves last spring thinking I was being smart (you know, saving weight and all). First real trip was on the Colorado Trail near Breckenridge, and I swear it took 15 minutes just to boil a cup of water. The wind kept killing the flame, and the little burner just couldn't hold a consistent temp. I ended up eating cold meals for two days because I was too aggravated to mess with it. Meanwhile, my buddy's $30 old-school brass stove had water boiling in like 4 minutes flat. So much for my 'investment' in ultralight gear. Has anyone else gotten burned by a stove that looked good on paper but failed out on the trail?

What stove were you using exactly, cause I've had the opposite experience with a couple of them?

Dude same, the Coleman dual fuel was a total letdown for me too.

What model Coleman was it... the green two-burner or one of the newer ones?
