I bought a cheap plastic shed kit and it was a $300 mistake

I thought I was being smart saving money on a storage shed kit from a big box store. The plastic panels felt flimsy right away, and a strong windstorm here in Kansas last spring cracked two walls and warped the door frame. I spent the whole next weekend trying to brace it with lumber, which just added to the cost. Has anyone found a good mid-priced metal shed that can actually handle some weather?

Those plastic kits are a joke. My neighbor's flew into my yard in one piece during a storm.

Yeah, that "strong windstorm in Kansas" line says it all... I went through the same thing with a vinyl shed. The frame just folds. I ended up with a basic steel shed from Tractor Supply, the kind with the tubular frame. It's not fancy, but it's held up for three years now without a dent.

Those plastic sheds are basically fancy lawn decorations that you can't even look at funny. My cousin's turned into modern art during a light drizzle. Ross is right about the steel ones, they at least have the decency to only rust quietly instead of exploding.
