That $300 'premium' shed lock I impulse bought on Amazon

Paid $300 for this fancy electronic shed lock with fingerprint access. Worked fine for 2 months until a spring rain fried the circuit board and I had to cut the latch with a sawzall to get my tools out. Anyone else fall for a pricy storage gadget that just made things worse?

Did it at least have a warranty or were you just stuck with a paperweight? I used to think spending more meant better quality but this totally changed my mind.

Buying cheap stuff twice is way more expensive in the long run.

Did you check if the store had a return policy beyond the warranty? Sometimes they'll work with you even if the manufacturer won't.
