TIL old milk crates make perfect outdoor storage bins

I was about to throw out some plastic milk crates from my garage. Then I had the idea to use them in the backyard. I stacked them up and now they hold all my kids' toys. It's SO much better than having stuff scattered everywhere. I even painted them to match the fence. This little hack saved me money and cleared up the clutter. I'm really proud of how it turned out.

My mom turned an old wooden bookshelf into a plant stand last summer. I've noticed a lot of people are getting really clever about reusing stuff instead of buying new. It feels like a quiet pushback against all the waste we usually see.
