The $35 math textbook that failed me twice
I bought a used copy of Stewart's Calculus at a garage sale in Denver for $35. Thought I was smart skipping the new edition. Turns out the problem sets changed between printings, and I failed two quizzes using the wrong answers. Anyone else get burned by an old edition?

Buddy's copy had homework answers for problems that didn't exist anymore. Total chaos.
