The day my scale lied about 11 pounds and I almost changed my diet

Last Tuesday I stepped on my bathroom scale and it said I was 11 pounds heavier than the week before. I panicked for a solid hour before realizing the scale was sitting on a folded towel and the carpet underneath was uneven. Moved it to the tile floor in the kitchen and suddenly I was back to my normal weight. Anyone else ever get tricked by a scale that was just sitting wrong on the floor?

Did your scale happen to be on carpet too? My friend Sarah had the exact same thing happen, she weighed herself 5 times in a row on her bathroom rug and freaked out each time before she finally moved it...
