My buddy in Phoenix changed how I see influencer fitness clips
He showed me a 90 second reel of a guy doing 400 pound deadlifts with awful form, captioned as 'perfect technique'. I used to think the worse the form, the clearer the bad take. But my buddy pointed out the real issue is the comment section, hundreds of people defending it because the guy looks strong. So the take isnt just wrong about lifting, its wrong about how we measure credibility in this space. Has anyone else noticed fitness takes get defended purely on aesthetics instead of mechanics?
