Went to the roller rink in Omaha last Friday and my whole take on "kids these days" flipped
I walked in ready to complain about phones, but counted 22 teenagers actually skating and zero of them filming after a kid fell and three others just helped him up without anyone grabbing a camera, so now I feel dumb for assuming the worst.
Well look at that, turns out teenagers can still be normal humans when you take the wifi away. Who would've guessed the skate rink is like some kind of phone dead zone where kids actually have to look at each other. And three of them helped a fallen kid up without filming? That's basically a miracle in 2024. Next thing you'll tell me they made eye contact and had a conversation. Honestly the rink might be the last place on earth where nobody cares about your follower count.
