Burned 3 batches of cookies before my grandma's old trick saved me
Last month I tried making chocolate chip cookies for my kid's bake sale and the first 3 trays came out flat and dark on the bottom. My grandma in Fresno told me to stop putting the dough straight on a hot sheet and let it chill in the fridge for 30 minutes first. Did that on batch 4 and they came out thick and chewy, raised maybe half an inch more than the flat ones. Has anyone else had their oven run hot like that even when the dial says 350?
