Appreciation post: That older barber at the Midwest Barber Expo who fixed my fading
I was struggling with blending a high fade at the expo in Chicago last fall, and an old timer walked over and showed me to use a lighter hand on the clipper over comb technique. Has anyone else had a random stranger at a show give advice that totally clicked?

You know, I was one of those guys who thought I had fading pretty much figured out. I'd watch videos online and felt like my technique was solid. Then I was at a show last year, and this older barber just came over, tapped my shoulder, and showed me how my wrist angle was off on the clipper over comb - it was putting too much pressure on the comb itself. Changed everything for me, seriously. I had to swallow my pride a little, but that one tweak made my blends way smoother.

Dude, come on. Getting your wrist angle fixed is nice and all, but acting like it's some life changing moment is a bit much. @holly709 You just got a tip from some guy at a show, it's not like you unlocked the secrets of the universe.
