Clipper died mid fade on a walk in at 4:45 on a Saturday, took me 25 minutes to figure out it was just a bent prong in the cord
Had a walk in sit down at 4:45 on a Saturday and my clipper cut out halfway up the fade, so I panicked and swapped blades, then cords, then nearly drove to grab a backup before I noticed one prong in the plug was bent flat. Twenty five minutes of a client staring at me in the mirror for a fix that took ten seconds with a butter knife, and it got me thinking about whether I should just run cordless only or keep the corded pair as a backup. Do you all keep a spare clipper on the station ready to go, or do you trust one setup and just check your cords before every walk in?
Used to think a spare on the station was overkill until my cord died mid cut and I finished the whole thing with a trimmer. Now I keep a cheap backup plugged in and ready, way easier than checking cords every single time.
