I finally read the fine print on my gym contract at the Planet Fitness on 5th, and the 'cancel anytime' thing is a joke

It says 30 days written notice but buried on page 3 is a $58 annual fee that hits in month 10 no matter when you quit. Has anyone actually gotten out of one of these without paying it?
