Unpopular opinion: big soaking tubs are a waste of space
Three years ago I helped a client in Portland rip out a huge jetted tub they used twice, and last week my own remodel made me realize I'd rather have a bigger shower. Anyone else find those tubs just collect dust and soak up cleaning time?

@grant.olivia you're spot on, that ring is impossible to scrub off.

I hear you about the ring being stubborn, but honestly I feel like people give up on those tubs too fast. I've had mine for six years now and a good scrub with baking soda and vinegar once a week keeps it looking new. The trick is not letting it sit for days with soap scum and hard water. If you stay on top of it, that ring barely has a chance to form. I soak in mine every Sunday night with epsom salts and it's totally worth the effort for me.

Honestly "soak up cleaning time" is so real. I swear every big soaking tub I've ever seen has that weird ring around it that never fully scrubs off. Last month my friend from Seattle told me she finally gave up cleaning hers and just started using it as a giant laundry basket for her kids' comforters and pillows. That stuff piles up fast and then you're tripping over a full tub every time you go to brush your teeth. Tbh I'd rather just take my chances with a standard shower and a stool to sit on if I really want to soak my feet.
