Found a 2015 Reddit thread calling the Tide Pod challenge 2 years before it blew up
I was digging through old forum posts for a totally different reason when I found a comment from a guy in 2015 saying teens would start eating laundry pods for views. He even linked a YouTube video from like 3,000 views at the time. Took me 20 minutes of scrolling to find the thread again because I didn't save it. If you search r/OutOfTheLoop for 'tide pod' sorted by oldest, you can see the posts start slow with like 12 upvotes and then boom, 40k in a month. Anyone else got a saved thread where someone guessed something way before it happened?
