Found a 2018 Reddit comment predicting the whole Fyre Fest disaster before tickets even sold out
Guy named u/PartyTimePaul called it an 'overhyped influencer scam with no toilet plan' and got downvoted into oblivion... anyone else got a favorite pre-blowup prediction that aged like fine wine?

Point people to any big music festival subreddit a few months out and you'll see the same pattern. Someone always asks about water stations, bathroom access, or security and gets told they're overthinking it. Then the event happens and surprise surprise, basic logistics fall apart because organizers focused on Instagram highlights instead of keeping people hydrated. It's like that with a lot of things now. People ignore the boring but important stuff because it doesn't make a good picture. We all kind of know it deep down but nobody wants to be the buzzkill.

Man people act like calling a scam a scam before it blows up is some kind of prophecy. Probably just got lucky (or had common sense, which is rare on Reddit).
