Can we talk about the panic over grandparents spoiling kids?

Everyone says it ruins discipline, but I think those bonds give kids a different kind of security. The news never mentions how much warmth and history gets passed on in those moments.

Actually that candy and screen time stuff can be a bond though. It's about feeling safe to break the normal rules with someone who loves you.
