I tried that 'silent dishwashing' trend where you don't run the disposal and just scrape plates into the trash, my landlord found out and hit me with a $150 plumbing bill for a clogged drain line three days later.
Turns out all that rice and eggshell I was tossing in the can was actually washing down the sink anyway because the disposal wasn't grinding it up and now I'm out a security deposit, has anyone else gotten burned by a lazy kitchen hack from a random blog?

Yeah that's on you honestly. Blog life hacks are usually just someone trying to fill space who has never actually fixed a pipe. Hope the security deposit lesson sticks.
