Update: Green packing isn't as simple as the ads say
The compostable wrap we tried starts falling apart if it gets damp. It's no wonder plastic is still the default, despite what you hear on the news.

Had the same issue with damp compostable wrap. Switched to a waxed paper version and it holds up way better. Still not perfect, but it's a step up.

Switching to waxed paper like ryan793 said really cuts down on the sogginess. I've used it for lunches and it stays firm even with wet veggies.
@brooke_taylor
, look for brands that use a thick coat of wax for best results.

Where did you find the waxed paper version?

When you say "not perfect," what's still falling short? Is it the seal, or does the wax coating itself start to fail after a while?
