Vent: That 'Foxconn plant in Wisconsin' news was mostly spin from day one
I was living near Racine when they broke ground on that thing back in 2018. Everyone was talking about 13,000 jobs coming to the area. But I noticed the site prep contract kept getting scaled down month after month. We ended up with maybe 1,500 actual jobs and a lot of empty buildings. The local news barely covered the tax break totals versus the final headcount. Has anyone else been following what that stimulus package actually cost per job created?

Moved to Green Bay around that time and watched the whole thing fall apart. Honestly, the cost per job ended up being something like $400k each if you crunch the numbers right.

Was that $400k covering just the Foxconn deal or the whole city budget for that project?
