TIL Bob Ross only painted happy little trees for 11 years on TV

So I was reading a random article at 2am about PBS reruns and found out his whole TV run was just 403 episodes from 1983 to 1994, which is wild because he feels like he was around forever, do any of you actually remember watching him live or is everyone like me and only knows him from the endless reruns?

Caught him live back in the day on PBS before school. My mom loved the show so it was always on. Still weird knowing it was only a decade of new episodes.

Remember waking up early to catch it before school too, my dad would have his coffee and we'd watch together. Turns out the reruns kept airing for years after the new ones stopped, so it felt way longer than a decade. Funny how a show that short can stick with you like that.
