That Tuesday where nothing went right on a 2018 Trek Emonda
Had a day last week where I snapped 3 spokes truing a wheel, then stripped a bleed port on a set of Ultegra shifters. The kicker was when a customer came in and said his brake cable snapped while he was going down a hill near Lake Ontario. Spent 4 hours fixing that mess alone. Anyone else have a shift where every single repair fights back?

Man I once spent three hours trying to bleed a set of brakes only to realize I'd been pulling the wrong lever the whole time... felt like a real genius that day. Hope that customer at least bought you a coffee after all that.

Read some forum post saying this generation of Emonda had weird spoke tension issues from the factory.

Notice how many problems in life come down to assuming something "should be fine" right out of the box, whether it's a bike wheel or a new appliance. We're conditioned to expect everything to work perfectly from the factory, but reality always has a few loose spokes or finicky tolerances. Usually takes a few miles and a decent mechanic to shake those out, nothing unusual about it.
