My brother said something about rewatching shows that actually made sense
I was at his place in Austin maybe two months ago, and we were trying to pick something to watch. I was scrolling through new stuff, getting annoyed that nothing looked good. He just grabbed the remote, put on an old episode of The Office, and said, 'Sometimes you don't need a new story, you just need a friend.' Idk, it sounds cheesy, but it hit me. I'd been so focused on finding the next big binge that I forgot how nice it is to just hang out with characters you already know. Now I keep a comfort show on my list for when I'm too tired to pay full attention. Does anyone else have a go-to show they've seen a dozen times?

Oh man, that's so true it hurts. Your brother nailed it. I do the exact same thing with Parks and Rec, just have it on in the background while I'm doing dishes or something. It's like the mental load of learning a whole new world and new people is just too much some nights.

My third rewatch of The Office this year is basically a security blanket at this point. I don't even have to look at the screen, I just need to hear Michael's voice while I fold laundry. Starting a new show feels like homework after a long day, and I already did my homework for money.

Third rewatch sounds like a cry for help.
