Pro tip: skip the pilot of that 8 episode true crime show from 2022, it took me 4 nights to get past it
I kept falling asleep during the first two episodes and almost quit, but my sister in Dallas talked me into pushing to episode 3 and it finally clicked. If the first hour is just drone shots and sad piano music, is that a sign the good stuff is buried way later, or am I just not the target viewer for these slow burn docs?

Sad piano music" is a red flag, not a slow burn, and if it takes three episodes to hook you then that show's just boring.
