That week I binged The Wire for the first time hit different

Last month I finally sat down and watched The Wire after years of people telling me to. I started on a Sunday morning and by Wednesday I was already on season 3. What made it stand out was how real every character felt, like McNulty and Omar were actual people from Baltimore I might know. The show never treated the audience like they were dumb either, which I appreciated after watching so many recent shows that spoonfeed you everything. I clocked about 18 hours total that week just glued to my couch with coffee and takeout. Has anyone else had a bingeing week that felt like you were living in that world?

18 hours of McNulty is enough to make anyone need a drink.

Can't wrap my head around 18 straight hours with McNulty. That's like watching the entire first season plus half of season two in one sitting. I'd need a case of something strong just to get through the first 10 hours. The man is a trainwreck, but that's a whole day of trainwreck. No breaks to breathe or blink? That's rough, even for the most dedicated fan.

Wait, 18 hours? Like straight? Was this a bender or some kind of marathon work shift?
