Rant: That guy from the gym told me to down raw eggs for protein and I ended up in the ER.
He swore by it, said it was a classic bodybuilder hack, but after 3 days of gagging down those things I got salmonella poisoning so bad I couldn't leave my bathroom for 12 hours, has anyone else tried this and actually been fine or am I just unlucky?

Classic bodybuilder hack" is honestly what got me too lol. I tried the raw egg thing for a week and felt fine at first but then got hit with the worst stomach cramps of my life. Pasteurized eggs are the only way to go if you really want that liquid protein without gambling on salmonella.

The raw egg gamble is basically russian roulette with your digestive system. I did the Rocky thing once in college, spent the next two days wondering if I was dying or just really, really regretting my life choices. Pasteurized eggs are the only way to play that game.
