Vent: my gym buddy said to skip breakfast for brain fog, and he was dead right and I hate it
Two months ago my pal Dave at the gym in Boise told me to push my first meal to noon because of my 3pm crash, and I rolled my eyes but tried it for 10 days and now I'm weirdly sharp all afternoon, so has anyone else had this backfire or stick long term?
Funny how often the fix turns out to be doing less instead of adding more. Same thing happens with sleep, where everyone thinks they need a fancy tracker and a cold room and five supplements, when the real answer is just going to bed at the same time every night. We're wired to look for a magic pill or some new superfood, but half the time the win comes from taking something away. Dave didn't sell you a shake or a program, he just told you to eat later, and that bugs us because it's free and simple. The hard part is sticking with it when your stomach growls at ten in the morning and your brain says this is dumb eat something. Been about four months for me now and the afternoons still feel level, but I'll warn you the social side gets weird when everybody at work is grabbing bagels and you're just drinking water.
