I finally caught a news blooper live on air during the 6pm broadcast

Last Tuesday I was watching the local ABC affiliate in Portland and the anchor tried to toss to a traffic reporter. But the camera guy cut to the wrong empty desk and she just sat there for a solid 8 seconds staring at a green screen with a spinning car icon. I recorded it on my phone and shared it with my buddy who edits news clips for a hobby. Has anyone else caught a live on-air glitch that made you laugh harder than it should have?

lmao I caught one where the weatherman walked right into frame mid-sentence with a coffee cup.

Oh man that's the worst. I hate when the production crew screws up and breaks the magic. Had a moment last week where the anchor was talking about a big storm coming and you could hear someone on set just start laughing in the background. Totally killed the serious vibe. Makes you wonder what else goes wrong that they catch before air.

How is it that the news can mess up a simple camera cut but my students can't find their homework five seconds after they put it down?
