Just realized I was mirroring my own videos wrong for 2 years
My buddy pointed out my text was backwards in a clip from our local news bloopers reel, and sure enough I had been flipping the whole frame in editing this whole time... anyone else ever catch themselves doing something basic like that for way too long?
Two years is a long time but honestly, it depends on what you were making. If it's just talking head videos for social media, nobody's reading the text that carefully anyway, most people watch on mute. I've seen local news channels run wrong side graphics for months and nobody said anything until one intern caught it. The real question is if anyone actually complained or noticed before your buddy. If they didn't, then it wasn't hurting anything, just a wasted habit. Fix it now and move on, it's not like you were editing medical instructions for surgery.
