Watched a local news anchor blink 14 times in a row during a live shot and now I can't unsee it
I compared her clip from Monday to a clip from 2 months ago and she was totally normal before. Is this a teleprompter thing or did something change with the lighting?
Man, I have to say I see it the other way on this one. Blinking a bunch during a live shot is usually just dry eyes from the studio lights, especially if you stare into them for a long block without looking away. Comparing two clips months apart does not really tell you much, because things like allergies, lack of sleep, or even a new pair of contacts can change how much someone blinks week to week. Teleprompters definitely make people read more stiffly and blink less, not more, so that part does not line up. I would bet good money she just had a rough eye day and nobody else even noticed it.
