Showerthought: game night at my brother's place in Akron swapped the rulebook for house rules and it actually worked
Last month we played four rounds with a house rule his 12 year old invented in ten seconds, and everyone had more fun than the 40 page manual version, so has anyone else found a house rule that quietly outplayed the real rules?
Was it really the rule that made it fun, or just the fact that a 12 year old got to make something up and everyone went along with it? Most house rules I've seen are just people being lazy about reading the manual. Fun night either way, I guess.
