Watched a guy at a game night in Tulsa count cards in Catan and nobody at the table noticed for 3 rounds

The scary part is that counting cards in Catan is way easier than people think since the deck only has 25 cards total. Once you track a few wood and brick, you basically know what everyone can and can't build for the rest of the game. Three rounds without anyone catching on means the table was too busy trading and arguing to watch the discard pile.
