Our club hit 50 members and the voting got way harder

We just passed 50 people in our local book club and picking the next read is a real fight now. Last month we had 12 different book ideas for our October meetup, which is way more than when we were just 20 people. Has anyone else found a good way to narrow things down with a bigger group?

Ugh, that sounds like a total headache. We had the same problem when our group got bigger. Maybe try a quick vote to pick the top three ideas first, then have a final vote on just those? It cuts down the noise a lot.

Yeah the "cut down the noise" part is so real. Last time my friends tried to plan a trip, the group chat had like fifty different restaurant suggestions. We ended up just going to the same pizza place we always do because everyone got tired of talking about it. Voting sounds way smarter than our mess.

Right, the "fifty different restaurant suggestions" thing is a total trap. My book club tried to plan a dinner and the chat blew up with everyone's "must try" spots across three towns. We spent a week just sending links back and forth. @davis.olivia has the right idea with narrowing it down first. We finally just put the five most mentioned places in a poll and it was done in an hour. Saved so much time and no one was mad.
