Glued my fingers together trying to fix a loose spine
Was working on a 1940s cookbook last Tuesday in my garage workshop. The spine had completely detached from the text block, so I grabbed my PVA glue and went to work. Got too focused on aligning the sections and didn't notice my fingers were dripping with glue. Ended up with my thumb stuck to my index finger for a solid 20 minutes before I could get them apart with some mineral spirits. Felt like an idiot standing there with one hand in the air waiting for the glue to soften. Has anyone else had a glue mishap that made you stop and just laugh at yourself?

Read an article once where a guy glued his hand to his workbench using wood glue and had to wait for it to dry before he could saw himself free. Made me feel better about my own mishaps honestly. Your cookbook story sounds like a classic case of getting too into the zone and forgetting basic hand safety!

That story about the guy gluing his hand to the bench is WILD, @emma_baker61. I had a friend who once got super into fixing a chair and accidentally super glued his thumb to his own forehead while trying to smooth out a crack. He had to walk around with his hand stuck to his face for like two hours while we waited for the glue to loosen up with nail polish remover. Total nightmare and he couldnt even laugh about it until the next day. Yours is definitely a classic "too focused on the project" moment.

Wait, he had to SAW his hand free? That's insane, I would've just panicked and called 911.
