Tried using a bone folder from the craft store for a week and the tip snapped clean off
It was a cheap $3 one from the local shop, and I learned you really do get what you pay for with basic tools. Anyone have a brand they trust for heavy scoring?

A bone folder is just a smooth stick, right? Heavy scoring sounds like you're pushing way too hard on the paper. Maybe try a lighter touch before buying some fancy tool.

My old bone folder cracked after maybe fifty cards.

My aunt used a cheap plastic one for her wedding invites and it left shiny streaks on the cardstock. She ended up using the back of a spoon in a pinch.

Ugh that's the worst feeling. Been there with a cheap one that snapped on some thick paper.
