What's so different about it for puppets though? I still feel like regular thread does the job fine for most things...

Wait, that's the whole point though isn't it, @xenas16? Regular thread is fine until it isn't. Linen is just so much stronger for the same thickness, so it doesn't snap when a puppet moves fast. It also doesn't stretch and get all loose over time. And the biggest thing for me? It doesn't get those tiny knots that jam up the controls.

Those tiny knots shane_bell mentioned are the worst. I read that linen's fibers lay smoother so they don't tangle up like that.
