Dating app profile said 'human', but the replies felt scripted

Matched with someone in Austin last month who passed every photo check, but every reply was a perfect 3 sentence paragraph with zero typos or slang. Called her out on it, she sent a meme with a typo, and I realized I'd been overthinking the whole thing. Has anyone else had a bot that was too polished to be real, or am I just paranoid about these things?

Wait till you get one that replies too fast, like under two seconds every single time, that's the real red flag. Bots are actually getting worse at sounding human, not better, cause they're trained on corporate emails and AI summaries. Real people mess up, send half thoughts, forget to answer your question, and take six hours to reply with "haha yeah" or some random voice note. If anything, you should be more worried when the profile says "looking for something real" and they type like a customer service rep on day one. I mean, maybe you did get a bot, but your bar for "human" is just way too high if a typo is what convinced you. Honestly, the polished ones are usually just polite people who copy paste their best responses, not machines.

The real giveaway for me is when they never once mention something specific from your profile, like your dog's name or that trip you took. That polished perfect paragraph style always feels like they're just cycling through generic icebreakers, even if a human wrote it. Guess the typo rule only works until someone actually makes one, then you're back to square one trying to figure out if they're lazy or a robot.
