Got 47 likes on one comment and 41 were bots, that is how I found this place
Ok so last month I left a comment on a cooking video about my grandma's cornbread and it blew up a little. 47 likes, which is huge for me, I never get that. But something felt off so I clicked through the profiles. 41 of them had the same blank avatar, a name like RachelW4821, and a bio that said something about crypto or a link to a tea shop. The other 6 were real people and 2 of them replied to me with actual words. What got me was the timing. Every single bot like landed within 9 minutes of each other on a Tuesday night, then nothing for days. Real people trickle in, bots show up like a shift change. I screenshotted the whole thing and my buddy said I was overthinking it, but come on. So now I check every like over 20 and I found this forum looking for answers. Has anyone else noticed bot likes clumping in a tight window like that, or is it just my stuff?
The tight window part is just how these bot farms work, they run on schedules. I wouldn't read too much into the Tuesday night thing specifically, that's probably just when whatever script kicked off. But yeah, 41 out of 47 being fake is rough, though honestly on comment sections that's not as rare as you'd hope. Checking every like over 20 seems like a lot of work for cornbread though, no offense.
