I finally got why my basil plant bolts in the heat!

I thought it was just bad luck, but shading it during hot afternoons keeps it leafy! Learning about plant stress really opened my eyes.

I always just assumed my basil was being difficult. Understanding how heat stress works totally shifted how I care for it now.

Try moving it to a cooler spot.

Wait, it's actually long daylight hours that trigger bolting more than heat alone.
