Rant: I argued with my friend about whether talking to your plants actually helps them grow, and my basil plant in the kitchen window proved me right after a month of daily chats.
She said it's just a silly myth, but I started telling my basil about my day every morning for 4 weeks, and it's noticeably fuller and greener than the silent one on her porch, so what's the real science behind this?

Guess my plants get better advice than my therapist.

My plants probably get more one-sided conversations than my friends do. They're the only ones who don't walk away when I start talking about my weird dreams. Maybe the secret is just giving them more attention, even if it's just hot air.

Oh man, I feel this. My monstera has heard every detail about my work drama this month. I told it about the weird printer jam for twenty minutes straight. It just sits there, all leafy, and doesn't interrupt or tell me to get over it. Honestly, they're the best listeners. They don't even judge you for the really bizarre stuff.
