inSorting through my shed turned up a blast from the past
Shane's right about beat-up tools having character. I see this with old tech too, like a keyboard with worn-out letters or a mouse with a shiny spot from years of use. Those marks show it was someone's daily driver, a tool that got them through real work. It's like the object itself holds proof of all the hours put into something. Makes me wonder what my own first tools will look like in twenty years.

inSpent three hours on a stripped freehub body that should have been a ten minute job
Actually works better on the hub itself, not the axle. The shock breaks the rust bond in the taper. Seen guys ruin threads hitting the axle end directly.
