Took me 3 returns to figure out I was the reason my new headphones kept dying
I went through 3 pairs of $30 earbuds from the same store in 2 weeks because the right side always stopped working, and I was so mad at the brand. Then my roommate picked one up off my desk, looked at the cord, and said dude you yank it out by the wire every single time. I sat there and watched myself do it the next morning and yeah, every time. Now I unplug by the plug end and the current pair has lasted 5 months, which is honestly just embarrassing for me and not the store. Am I the only one who blamed the product for something my own hands were doing?

My version of this was a coffee maker that kept leaking all over the counter, and I complained about it forever. Turns out I was filling past the max line every single time because I wanted a bigger cup. So the machine was fine and I was just bad at following the little water window.
